Koh Saumi Super Strain a.k.a KSSS is a popular Psilocybe Cubensis variety. Originating from the Koh Saumi mushroom found in the early 90’s in the town of Hua Thanon on the island of Koh Samui by Enthomycologist John Allen
Koh Saumi Super Strain is said to be more vigorous isolate of Koh Saumi strain with a stronger resilience to contamination.

In countries where legal to grow Koh Saumi Super Strain are very user friendly and a lot more tolerant of environmental changes which is why they are such a popular choice for beginners.
Mushroom caps start off a darker chestnut brown colour before turning more golden and lighter in colour just as the veils break. Fruits can be quite large
Koh Saumi Super Strain stems are white and can vary considerably in thickness depending on the flush stage and also environmental conditions.
The stems and also the mycelium itself can bruise blue if pinched or disturbed, this is perfectly normal and a common trait with Psilocybin Cubensis mushroom types.
Koh Saumi Super Strain first flushes usually produce a larger abundance of smaller sized mushrooms followed by bigger, wider capped fruits on subsequent harvests but usually less mushrooms overall then the flush previously.
Golden Teacher spores are best viewed under a clean microscope using a slide and a magnification of x400 for optimum observation.
